Projects
So, I said I’d update when I knew what I was going to be doing – well, I know but life has been so busy I haven’t had time. I’m still trying to get organized and structure my days so that they are profitable all the time instead of just part of the time.
However, one of the things I’ve been doing is spending time each day working on different projects: you know, the craft kind, versus papers and quizzes and vocabulary. I have to say, most of it has been fun: despite the challenges – but hey! I figure I’m learning!
Anyway, here are two that are in the current process (I have a few more that are also in that state, which means that by the time I finish all of them I’ll probably do a slew of posts all at once.
We have this really cool book that has a host of projects using fat quarters – and a quilt in there caught my eye a few weeks ago, so I went “shopping” in all the fabric we have lying around the home and came up with these. This morning I finally finished sewing most of the front (yay!), and to celebrate I’m posting a picture. When finished it will also have a border made up of contrasting fabrics. My current plan is that after I finish putting it all together, I’m going to be a little ambitious and try quilting this by hand, I’ve never tried it so, we’ll see how it goes.
And finally, I went to Craft Warehouse when they were having a sale and found this fabric, which, I confess, is definitely “me” – so I bought it and made a bunch of potholders. They still aren’t finished yet because I need to quilt them in some way, which I’ll do either by hand or machine:
